All musicians and music lovers are invited. The center says it offers an excellent sound system and a full keyboard Yamaha piano, as well as a cozy "listening room" atmosphere that appeals to musicians.

The arts center says it welcomes new musicians to join its faithful group of talented performers. It says its audiences love live music.

This is a free event, and donations are accepted. Attendees may bring a treat to share at intermission if they wish. Beverages are provided.

The Evansville Art Center is at 111 Main St. in Evansville. It has received funding through the state voter-approved Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund via the Lake Region Arts Council.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
