Josie Nelson, a 20-year-old Alexandria-based singer/songwriter, will perform at the Evansville Art Center's First Friday Concert on July 3, 7-9 p.m., at City Park in Evansville.
Nelson began writing and performing at 9, won a variety of talent contests and runs a YouTube channel with more than 40,000 followers. She performs locally and this spring completed her junior year at Concordia College in Moorhead, where she is a pre-med student.
Her music includes a wide variety of music, from oldies to current hits along with some original music.
The concert is free, but donations are welcome.
Concert-goers are asked to wear masks and follow social distancing, and to bring blankets or lawn chairs. There will be no desserts or beverages available, and because it's an outdoor concert, the grounds will not be sanitized. Restrooms will be available.
