From west-central Minnesota, the classic country music group Honky Tonk Stardust Cowboys will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17, on the Douglas County Courthouse lawn as part of the Red Willow Arts Coalition free summer concert series.
The band derived its name from the classic 1971 Lefty Frizzell song and is one of the few in Minnesota performing traditional country music in the same spirit and sound of the original artists.
The group’s set list is composed of traditional classic country music including songs from artists like Loretta Lynn, Rosanne Cash, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings, among many others - with a few classic rock ‘n’ roll songs in the mix.
This year, with the pandemic waning in Minnesota, restrictions have been eased. Hand sanitizer will be available, and concert-goers may wear face masks if they wish.
This week's concert is sponsored by the Echo Press.
