ALEXANDRIA — A Christmas comedy with a seven-person cast will premiere on Friday, Dec. 2, at the Lakes Area Theatre's Fire Pit Production stage.
"Sorry! Wrong Chimney!" — written by Leo W. Sears and Jack Sharkey — is about a man trying to make extra money by working as a department store Santa to buy his wife a nice gift for Christmas. In order to keep what he is doing a surprise, he tells his wife he is working late, which goes well until she find out he isn't working late and begins to suspect another woman.
"I chose to do this play because it is a funny holiday-themed show that isn't the same Christmas shows that have been done over and over again," said Director Quincy Roers. "It is a light, funny, fast-paced comedy that will provide audiences with some uncomplicated laughter and joy for the holiday season."

Roers says the audience can expect "hypnotism, the notorious Santa burglar Kris Kreigle and his gun-toting fiancée, and a confused policeman" to tell a "rollicking tale that is hilarious Christmas entertainment any time of year."
The show is anticipated to run for around two hours including an intermission.
