Shirley and Jerry Spanhanks will perform as the Blue Wolf Duo from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4 in City Park, Evansville.
The event is organized by the Evansville Art Center, which has rescheduled its typical outdoor music events from evenings to Sunday afternoons to take advantage of daylight and warmer temperatures. Concerts will take place at City Park near the baseball fields.
This husband-and-wife duo hail from the Red River Valley, one from the North Dakota Red River and the other from the Arkansas Red River. Their original song, Red River Moon, will be a highlight of the show and they will also perform many other original songs using guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass and dobro.
Concert-goers should bring lawn chairs or blankets and plan on self-distancing. Masks are recommended. Cold water will be available. The bathrooms will be open and sanitized.
This is a free concert; however, donations are accepted.
