Larry N. Gasperlin was recently honored by the American Legion Post 87 in Alexandria, for reaching his 95th birthday and for "always being dedicated to the post, in every task he took on," according to post leaders.
Gasperlin has been past commander and has served in many other positions in the local post.
The entire American Legion Post 87 saluted Gasperlin for his dedication to the post and the local community.
