Let's Go Fishing is looking for volunteers

Let’s Go Fishing will hold spring training for all new and returning volunteers on Wednesday, April 14, at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum Boathouse.

Returning volunteers will receive training at 1 p.m., and new volunteers will be trained at 3:30 p.m.

COVID restrictions forced the cancellation of last year's season. Let's Go Fishing provides fishing excursions for seniors, veterans, youth, and those with disabilities.

Since 2007, the Alexandria Lakes Area chapter said, it has served 19,446 guests on 1,933 trips.

The organization is seeking volunteers, including captains and assistants this summer.
