Sealed bids for the Re-painting of Concrete Exterior to the Bellanca Building at the Alexandria Airport will be received by the Alexandria City Council, at the Alexandria Airport Arrival/Departure Building, 2604 Aga Drive, until 11:00 am on May 3, 2021.
Overview:
The building is half composed of white colored concrete exterior walls. The other half is blue colored steel siding. This bid is for removing the existing white paint from the concrete walls and select metal doors, prepping the concrete walls and select metal doors, and re-painting the concrete walls and select metal doors. There is roughly 9,500 square feet of walls to be painted and 450 square feet of metal doors to be painted.

Tasks:
•Remove existing paint via pressure washing or blasting
•Prep areas to be painted as needed
•Paint concrete walls with masonry paint
o White paint must be used
•Paint select doors with acrylic metal paint
o White paint must be used
o NW Side of Building – Paint
furthest south (1) walk-in door
o SW Side of Building – Paint all
walk-in doors
o SE Side of Building – Paint all
walk-in doors, and middle (2)
garage doors
Notes:
•This bid should include all supplies, labor, and other expenses.
•Any signs that need to be removed for prep and paint should be re-hung at the completion of
the project.
A field review of the building is required of all bidders prior to submitting a bid. Please contact Airport Manager, Kreg Anderson, at 320-760-7175 to schedule a walk-through. Additional details regarding the specific scope of work will be discussed at that time.
All bids will be reviewed by the Airport Manager who will make a recommendation of award to the City Council at their May 10, 2021 City Council meeting. All work is to be completed by June 30, 2021.
