Public Notice REGULAR MEETING BOARD OF EDUCATION ALEXANDRIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS ALEXANDRIA, MINNESOTA DECEMBER 19, 2022 The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Alexandria School District, Alexandria, Minnesota, was called to order by School Board Chairperson Angie Krebs at 7:01 p.m. in the District Office Oak Conference Room, Alexandria, Minnesota. School Board Members Present: Angie Krebs, Dave Anderson, Sandy Susag, Pam Carlson, Dean Anderson, Alan Zeithamer and Maureen Eigen and (ex-officio) Superintendent Rick Sansted. Absent: None Administrators Present: Michelle Bethke-Kaliher, Trevor Peterson, Darcy Josephson, Jessie Hjelle and Lynn Jenc Others: Maggie Timm and 35 guests APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Dean Anderson, seconded by Susag, to approve the December 19, 2022 agenda. REPORTS AND DISCUSSION ITEMS Robotics program and Discovery Middle School Updates. APPROVE FIRST READING OF CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS/COURSE CHANGES Motion by Zeithamer, seconded by Susag, to approve the first reading of 2023-2024 DMS Curriculum and Program Modifications/Course Changes as presented. Ayes 7 Nays 0 Motion Carried. CERTIFICATION OF 2022 PAYABLE 2023 PROPERTY TAX LEVY Motion by Susag, seconded by Zeithamer, to certify the 2022 payable 2023 property tax levy in the amount of $17,761,726.16 broken down as follows: • General Fund $ 9,967,753.21 • Community Service Fund $ 635,477.21 • Debt Service Fund $ 6,433,180.38 • OPEB Debt Service Fund $ 725,615.36 Ayes 7 Nays 0 Motion Carried. APPROVE 2022-2023 BUDGET REVISION Motion by Zeithamer, seconded by Dean Anderson, to approve the revisions to the 2022-2023 financial budget as presented. Ayes 7 Nays 0 Motion Carried.
