The special meeting of the school board was called to order by Chairperson Becky Hensley. The following members were present: Becky Hensley, Michael Collins, Greg Faber, Genny LeBrun, Tom Grundman, Chris George, and Superintendent Randal Bergquist.
The purpose of the special meeting was to renew A’viands contract, discuss summer rec, summer school, summer food service, playground, Tier 1 Latchkey change, and hire wrestling coach.
It was moved by Collins, seconded by Grundman, to approve the agenda. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Faber, seconded by LeBrun, to renew the contract with A’viands for the 2020-21 school year. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by LeBrun, seconded by Grundman set a tentative start date of July 6th for summer rec. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by LeBrun, seconded by Grundman, to not have traditional summer school but rather be in contact with students needing additional help closer to the fall. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Collins, seconded by Grundman, to not continue food service throughout the summer. The motion carried unanimously.
The Playground was tabled until June meeting.
It was moved by Faber, seconded by Grundman, to offer childcare with the Tier 1 change. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Faber, seconded by George, to hire Doug Johnson as head wrestling coach for the 2020-21 school year at per Master Agreement amount of $6,055.
It was moved by Faber, seconded by Grundman, to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
