The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Alexandria School District, Alexandria, Minnesota, was called to order by School Board Chairperson Dean Anderson at 7:02 p.m. in the District Office Oak Conference Room, Alexandria, Minnesota.
School Board Members Present: Dean Anderson, Dave Anderson, Angie Krebs, Bob Cunniff, Sandy Susag, Alan Zeithamer and Pam Carlson and (ex-officio) Superintendent Rick Sansted. Absent: None

RESOLUTION FOR
ALEXANDRIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO ACCEPT
DONATIONS AND GRANTS
WHEREAS, the Alexandria Public Schools Board encourages the support of the district’s educational programs through the funding and support of grant opportunities and donations that meet the goals and objectives of the school district;
WHEREAS, the school district will control and maintain all grants and donations to ensure that the interests of all students are met;
WHEREAS, the grants and donations listed below have been reviewed and approved by the administration of the Alexandria Public Schools;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the School Board of the Alexandria Public Schools - No. 206, State of Minnesota, to accept the following grants and donations:
•Alexandria FFA received a $2,500 donation from Bayer Fund through America’s Farmers Grow Communities to help make a positive impact in farm communities.
•The AAHS Volleyball program received a $4,173 donation from
the Volleyball Booster Club to
fund an assistant coach posi-
tion.
•The AAHS Basketball program received a $1,200 donation from
the Boys Basketball Booster
Club to purchase a Hudl sub-
scription to allow live streaming
of Boys Basketball games.
•The AAHS Volleyball program received a $1,200 donation from
the Volleyball Booster Club to
purchase a Hudl subscription to
allow live streaming of Volleyball
games.
•The Compass program received a $36,000 grant from DHS to
support overtime staffing, sup-
plies and materials from October
through December 2020 due to
COVID.
•Discovery Middle School received a $2,260 donation from
Calvary Lutheran Church to sup-
port DMS student learning.
•Discovery Middle School received a $9,000 grant from United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties to support study skills
programs for at-risk students.
FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY
To approve the following fundraising activity:
•Alexandria Marching Band students will conduct multiple fundraisers throughout the year including bingo night, MVP Card sales, Douglas County Fair volunteering, car wash, mattress sale and others to help reduce costs associated with marching band and help students take
ownership of their activity
INDEPENDENT PROVIDER AGREEMENT

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Alexandria Public Schools - No. 206, State of Minnesota, as follows:
1. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 205A.11, the precincts and polling places for school district elections are those precincts or parts of precincts located within the boundaries of the school district which have been established by the cities or towns located in whole or in part within the school district. The board hereby confirms those precincts and polling places so established by those municipalities.
2. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 205A.11, the board may establish a combined polling place for several precincts for school district elections not held on the day of a statewide election. Each combined polling place must be a polling place that has been designated by a county or municipality. 3. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 205A.09, the polling places will remain open for voting for school district elections not held on the same day as a statewide election between the hours of 7 o'clock a.m. and 8 o'clock p.m.
4. The clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the county auditors of each of the counties in which the school district is located, in whole or in part, within thirty (30) days after its adoption.
5. As required by Minnesota Statutes, Section 204B.16, Subdivision 1a, the clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give written notice of new polling place locations to each affected household with at least one registered voter in the school district whose school district polling place location has been changed. The notice must be a nonforwardable notice mailed at least twenty-five (25) days before the date of the first election to which it will apply. A notice that is returned as undeliverable must be forwarded immediately to the appropriate county auditor, who shall change the registrant’s status to “challenged” in the statewide registration system.
The motion for the adoption of the forgoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Krebs and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Anderson, Dave Anderson, Cunniff, Carlson, Krebs, Zeithamer and Susag
and the following voted against the same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared dully passed and adopted on November 16, 2020.
