The Board of Commissioners in and for the County of Douglas, State of Minnesota, met in Special Session in a joint meeting with the Alexandria City Council this 22nd day of March 2021. The full text is available for public inspection in the County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office.
By consensus of the City and County, the agenda was approved. The following informational items were discussed, with no action taken. Items from the Floor: Sheriff Wolbersen and Chief Kent presented a report regarding a recent incident, staff commendation for their roles in resolving the incident, and thank you to County Board and City Council for their continued support of Law Enforcement in their roles in the community; City of Alexandria two mile radius; City, fairgrounds, and boat and water property/roads; 18th Avenue East and impacts on Alomere Health (County owned hospital); 34th Avenue West/CSAH 46 and potential future shared use path; American Rescue Plan Act Local Funding partnership; and future Runestone Community Center Expansion. Another joint City/County meeting to be held in the Fall 2021.
By consensus, the joint meeting was adjourned at 6:03 p.m.
