The Board of Commissioners in and for the County of Douglas, State of Minnesota, met in special joint session with the Alexandria City Council this 9th day of March 2020 at City of Alexandria, City Hall, 704 Broadway Street, Alexandria, MN. The full text is available for public inspection at the County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office.
The County Board and Alexandria City Council discussed the following items with no actions being taken: City of Alexandria two mile radius and its history; City of Alexandria to consider contributing to Rainbow Rider in 2021 Budget planning; tax increment financing review by Nicole Fernholz, Director of Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission; Douglas County HRA and Alexandria HRA projects.
The City and County took a break from 5:54 p.m. to 6:07 p.m.
The County Board and Alexandria City Council discussed the following items with no actions being taken: Fairgrounds Task Force update; 2020 census update; 2020 public beach operations including potential life guarding; RCC expansion update and opportunities for inclusion of Emergency Management considerations; and City of Alexandria downtown fire update.
By consensus, the meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
