Public Hearing Publish September 23, 2022 Published Notice of Hearing on Proposed Assessment Notice is hereby given that the town board of the town of Miltona will meet at the Miltona Community Center (5590 County Rd 14 NE, Miltona MN 56354) at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, to consider the adoption of a proposed assessment for the improvement of the Krohnfeldt Sewer within the Krohnfeldt Sewer Extension Subordinate Service District into the Alexandria Lakes Area Sewer District (ALASD), pursuant to Minnesota statues, Chapter 429. The board may adopt the assessment at this meeting. The proposed area to be assessed includes the 28 parcels on Krohnfeldt Dr NW and Krohnfeldt Ct NW. The special services provided by the district would be a centralized sewer district for all parcels adjoining on the easterly side of Krohnfeldt Drive NW and Krohnfeldt Court NW; including and lying between parcel 42-0667-000 on the north and parcel 42-0678-680 on the south. The total amount of the proposed assessment is $910,507.00. The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection at the town clerk’s office. Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of an assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the town clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. The board may consider such an objection at an adjourned meeting upon such further notice to the affected property owners as it deems advisable. An owner may appeal an assessment to district court pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the board chair or town clerk within 30 days after the adoption of the assessment and filing appropriate notice with the district court within ten days after service upon the chair or clerk.
