ORDINANCE NO. 856

AN ORDINANCE RELEASING THAT CERTAIN EASEMENT CREATED BY CITY OF
ALEXANDRIA ORDINANCE
NO. 262, 2nd SERIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alexandria did, on November 10, 1986, adopt Ordinance NO. 262, vacating a portion of Iowa Street, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance NO. 262 did retain an easement for the construction and placement of public utilities over the portion of the public street being vacated, and
WHEREAS, due to the relocation of the previously existing utilities and the expansion of the private improvements upon the site it is no longer necessary for the City to retain said easement,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALEXANDIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
Section I:That the easement created by Ordinance NO. 262 is hereby released.
Section II: That a record of such easement release is to be made in the office of the Douglas County Recorder
Section III: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Alexandria, Minnesota, this 12th day of July, 2021, by the following vote:
