Notice of Public Hearing Pursuant to Section 10.23 of the Alexandria City Code, the Alexandria Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 7:20 pm in the Alexandria City Hall to consider the Conditional Use Permit of Sacred Journey Academy. The applicant is requesting to allow a K-8 school facility in the existing Indigo Plaza building. Minimal remodeling would be proposed. Existing tenant spaces would be incorporated into the school as their leases expire. Forecasted enrollment year one is 144 students; with a total enrollment of 208 students when full. Site improvements do contain outdoor play space, a basketball court, and added parking/access to Iowa Street. The properties are located at 4133 Iowa Street and the vacant lot to the north and are currently located in an I-B “Industrial Business” zoning district. Notice of this hearing has been mailed to all property owners of record within 350 feet of the property in question. The public is invited to attend this hearing.
