Advertisement for Bids Sealed bids will be received by the General Manager of Alexandria Light and Power, Alexandria, Minnesota, at his office until 1:00 P.M. on the 15th day of February, 2023, for underground 13.2 kV distribution line work in connection with Electric Distribution Improvements - 2023 project for Alexandria Light and Power, Alexandria, Minnesota, at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. The general nature of the work on which proposals will be received consists of the following: Construction of mainline and residential underground electric distribution lines including primary, secondary, and service circuitry; and the installation of conduit, cables, box pads, and other related equipment and material. The above work shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file in the office of Alexandria Light and Power in said City of Alexandria, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein. All bids shall be made on bid forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond, made payable to Alexandria Light and Power, Alexandria, Minnesota, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, which security becomes the property of Alexandria Light and Power in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and post satisfactory performance and payment bonds. The construction may be started after the execution of the Construction Agreement and delivery of a Notice to Proceed issuance. The project shall be substantially completed by November 15, 2023.
