ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of Alexandria 2023 TH29 Sidewalk Extension S.P. 2102-73 Alexandria, MN Notice is hereby given ELECTRONIC PROPOSALS for construction of the 2023 TH29 Sidewalk Extension project will be received by the Alexandria City Council, until 11:00 AM local time on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, at which time all bids will be opened and read aloud via an online Teams meeting. Major items include the following approximate quantities: 1,700 CY Common Excavation 600 CY Aggregate Base 1,000 CY Select Granular Embankment 16,000 SF 6” Concrete Walk 1 SYS Revise Signal System Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids must be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. No bid will be considered unless it is electronically submitted through QuestCDN vBid (Online Bidding ONLY) prior to 11:00 AM on the 2nd day of March 2023. No paper bids will be accepted. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: Alexandria City Hall and Widseth Smith Nolting & Associates, Inc., 610 Fillmore St., Alexandria, Minnesota. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by calling 320-762-8149 to schedule an appointment and upon non-refundable payment of $60.00 for each set. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Checks for Bidding Documents must be made payable to “Widseth”. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations. Basis of bid award will be on total project cost. The Alexandria City Council reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time set for receiving bids and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract as the City deems in their best interest.
