Those who want to learn about songbird identification apps can do so at the annual meeting of the Prairie Lakes Audubon chapter at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at 2761 Lake Victoria SE in Alexandria.

Board member Lynn Glesne will deliver a short talk on the merits and drawbacks of apps such as Merlin Bird and eBird. Those attending will also have a chance to win a box of window collision tape that prevents birds from colliding into windows.

This meeting is an opportunity for members to propose ideas for future programs, field trips, and service projects, a time to elect officers.

All are welcome to the meeting, and those who come should bring a lawn chair. Birding is available following the meeting, so those who want to take part should bring their binoculars. Cookies, coffee, water, and lemonade will be provided, and the meeting place is wheelchair accessible.

There is no cost to attend this meeting.
