One local individual was involved in the most recent oil pipeline protest Tuesday.

David and Shannon Savela of Sebeka have been named by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office as the two men killed in a shootout between a deputy and police officer Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is continuing its investigation of the officer involved shooting that happened on Saturday night in North Germany Township, during which four people were shot, including a Sebeka police officer.
The protest on Tuesday, Feb. 16, was staged near the Crow Wing River in Wadena County. Enbridge responds by saying it respects tribal and treaty rights and protecting Minnesota's natural resources.
