Discovery Middle School students will be performing “Wanted: A Wild West Mystery” this Friday and Saturday.

The shows will take place Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. and then again on Nov. 16 at 1 and 4 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

Written by the school’s 8th Grade Playwrights Club, the show has students doing everything from the sets, lights and costumes to acting on the stage. What started as a small group of playwrights has become a full-fledged play with more than 80 students.

The show is about the wild west town of Crimson Waters. The town has many problems on its hands – the mayor seems to be under the delusion that a deadly speckled long-toad is threatening the town; the cowboys and gold minors have been suddenly suspicious; the town has become overrun with troublesome outlaws; and the sheriff is no longer among them.

Tickets are free to the public and available at the door. Performances will last about an hour.
