The Masters of Soul will offer up some legendary music from Motown and Soul Music when they perform in Alexandria at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.
The group is coming to the area for the Central Lakes Concert Association concert season and will perform in the Tastefully Simple Performing Arts Center in the Alexandria Area High School.
The Masters of Soul features three lead male vocalists and three lead female vocalists backed by a four-piece band. Together for decades, they tout their stylish costumes, choreographed moves and "incredible harmonies." Their music can provide a stroll down memory lane for older generations, while younger generations can glimpse a notable era in our country’s musical history.
Masters of Soul's program highlights include music by Gladys Knight & The Pips, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, and many more that became famous in Detroit.
