Today, Monday, Dec. 6, is the last day to enter the Echo Press' annual 'Light up the Night' holiday light photo contest

Get your entries in by 5 p.m.

The Echo Press’ annual 'Light up the Night' contest is now open.

Douglas County and surrounding area residents and business owners may submit photos of their holiday light displays in two different categories – Most Fun Display and Most Beautiful Display.

Photos can be entered now through Monday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m. Voting will open on Wednesday, Dec. 8, and run through Sunday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m.

The contest is all online. To submit your photo, go to

The votes will then be tabulated and one winner will be chosen in each category.


When submitting your photo, you will need to include your email, name, complete address and phone number.

If you want people to view your lights in person, please include your address in the caption of the photo.
