If you’re looking for music, unique food, axe throwing and craft vendors, Alexandria’s “Meat Street” is the place to be on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-6.

Lakes Country Meats, 1700 North Nokomis NE, is presenting its second annual sausage fest, which continues today, Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Downtown Eli Brown will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Alexandria volleyball team has set up a dunk tank to raise money. There is also a variety of food and craft vendors.

Lake Country Meats, for instance, is grilling foot-long brats – a treat you won’t see at your typical county or state fair, according to owner Butch Cole.

Other food vendors include Beef Stampede (Lake Country Meats), Best Fry Company, Patty Wicken’s Lemonade and Doug’s Kettle Korn.
