Paddling adventure set for next weekend

The annual Big Ole SUPathon runs through the Chain of Lakes and the Long Prairie River.

Alexandria's big paddling race is set for Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17.

Called the Big Ole SUPathon, it offers a variety of routes and paddle lengths of 5.5, 9.5 or 17 miles.

The race is for paddleboarders, kayakers and canoeists through Alexandria’s Chain of Lakes and the Long Prairie River.
