It's the time of the year where the Alexandria Rotary Club holds its annual rose sale.

This year the club is offering people two ways to remember someone special – with a choice of a dozen roses, either red or lollipop, or a box of Dutch House sea salt caramels.

The funds raised from the sale are used to support the Rotary Club's community service projects over the next year. One example is the installation this year of a public dock, "Rotary Pier," on the south shore of Lake Agnes near Big Ole Central Park.

To place your order, call the Echo Press office at 763-3133 Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each order of either a dozen roses or a box of caramels is $22.

Orders must be placed by 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, in the floral department at Elden's Fresh Foods, 707 3rd Ave. E., Alexandria.
