John and Jan Hopfner are celebrating their 50th Anniversary on May 26th, 2023. John is a native of Alexandria and his wife Jan is from St. Paul. They were married in St. Paul 50 years ago on this date. They now reside in Bella Vista, AR and spend their summers in Alexandria.

A heartfelt thank you to all who celebrated the life of Elvira Blank. A special thank you to Pastor Jeremy Pedersen, organist Barb Sather and Women of the Word who helped serve lunch at Fahlun Lutheran Church. Your friendships and visits were greatly appreciated by Elvira, over the 105 years of life. Our gratitude also goes out to the many health care providers. Thank you to law enforcement and Anderson Funeral Home

We wanted to reach out and make sure to thank as many people as possible for all the prayers, support, and uplifting words of encouragement through these difficult times. Back on January 9th when Brenden hit his head in practice, we had the same reaction and discussion that many families do. Talking about needing to take the time to get his head right so he can heal and have a strong end of the season. Shortly after is when things changed.

Thank you to all of my friends who helped me celebrate my 90th birthday! I appreciated all of the cards, flowers and gifts from each of you! Also, thank you to my children for the wonderful party! Violetta Drexler

The parents of Katie Baasch and Brandon McCormick are excited to announce their upcoming wedding! The ceremony will take place on Friday September 16th, 2022 at the Barn in Dunvilla, MN with a reception to follow. Katie is a Contract Systems Analyst at BCBSND and Brandon is a Physical Therapist for Blue Stone Therapy in Moorhead.
