Paid Political Letter: Catholics Should Protect Life

Ideas and opinions in this letter are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the stance of this paper. The author of this letter has paid for its placement. The Bishops of Minnesota have released a statement to help encourage us to consider how a candidate will work for ‘prenatal justice’. Establishing a right relationship between the mother, the unborn child and society. Life begins in the womb and so must justice.

A few points...

In Minnesota, it is troubling that a woman can procure an abortion for almost any reason up until birth. Disturbingly, in 2021, there were 160 abortions involving babies that were past the half way point (20 weeks). Almost half of all abortions were paid for with taxpayer funds. Although Minnesota law requires all abortion procedures to be performed by a trained medical doctor, there are no requirements that a licensed physician perform an abortion. Abortion proponents are working proactively to shut down pregnancy resource centers.

Catholics and advocates for human life are encouraged to help transform our state into a place that respects and protects human life by voting for candidates that support this pre-eminent cause.
