GAME REFUGE ORDER
THE JENNIE LAKE
WHEREAS, a petition having the required signatures has been presented to the Director of the Division of Fish and Wildlife, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, requesting that the following described lands be established as a State Waterfowl Refuge thru the end of the 2024 waterfowl hunting seasons for the following described land;
All of Section 35, Township 129 North, Range 40 West; all of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, and that portion of Section 3 north of County Road No. 56 in Township 128 North, Range 40 West, Douglas County, Minnesota;
WHEREAS, all owners, lessees or persons in possession of the above described lands have joined in said petition; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources on August 25, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Urness Town Hall, 2160 County Road 1 SW, Evansville, MN; and
WHEREAS, it has been found that the public interest would be best served by re-establishment of this waterfowl refuge;
NOW THEREFORE, under authority contained in Minn. Statutes 97A.085, subd. 3 and 5, the above described area be re-established as a Statutory Waterfowl Refuge during the 2021 thru 2024 Waterfowl Hunting Seasons to be known as the Jennie Lake Waterfowl Refuge, Douglas County, Minnesota.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the above described waterfowl refuge will become effective upon due publication hereof and completion of posting in accordance with laws.
