Learn how access to safe, adequate, affordable housing builds stronger communities at the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s Noontime Knowledge on Monday, June 15 from noon to 1 p.m. via a virtual Zoom event.
Housing is connected to every aspect of people’s lives and is a critical factor in financial security, academic success, and being healthy. Every person in Minnesota should have a safe, affordable place to live in a thriving community, but not all do, the chamber noted.
Speakers include Amy Reineke, community health strategist of Horizon Public Health; Al Glaeseman, assistant director of Douglas County Housing and Redevelopment Authority; Heather Molesworth, family and community services director of West Central Minnesota Communities Action; Lori Anderson, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County; and Jen Jabas, executive director of United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties. They will be speaking in a panel style on housing and health.
June’s Noontime Knowledge is supported by the Douglas County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative. Register for the event by visiting the Alexandria Chamber website at www.alexandriamn.org and look for the registration link on the main page.
Noontime Knowledge is held the third Monday of each month. For more information, call the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce at 320-763-3161 or email info@alexandriamn.org.
