Garfield Days to be held this weekend

The annual Garfield Days is being held Aug. 13-14, with a variety of events including a parade, kids activities and a street dance.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Saturday, Aug. 14

7-11 a.m. Pancake feed and art sale at St. John's Church

8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Pub rib cookoff

10 a.m. Float registration for parade at Garfield Elementary School

Noon Parade

Noon-4 p.m. Pie and ice cream social at St. Luke's Church

Activities in City Park

11 a.m.-3 p.m. Pork chop feed

11 a.m.-4 p.m. Beer garden (no outside beer allowed in park)

1-4 p.m. Kiddie Carnival: Petting zoo, bungee jumper, bouncy houses, water ball wars, joust and a tractor pull. Freewill donation to fund the 2022 Garfield Days.

1:30 p.m. Kids water ball wars

3 p.m. Kiddie tractor pull

6 p.m. Bean bag tournaments at Fire Station Bar & Grill

9 p.m.-1 a.m. Street dance at the Fire Station Bar & Grill featuring Nasty Habit (D&D Concessions available)

Travis Gulbrandson covers several beats, including Osakis School Board and Osakis City Council, along with the Brandon-Evansville School Board. His focus will also be on crime and court news.
