Fish decoys on exhibit at Evansville Art Center

The Dark House Fish Decoys Exhibit will be held Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from now through Sunday, August 31 at the Evansville Art Center.

The Dark House Fish Decoys Exhibit will be held Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from now through Sunday, August 31 at the Evansville Art Center.
An array of hand-carved, hand-painted fish decoys used in spearing from a dark house will be on display. There is a miniature dark house on display with a giant northern lurking in the hold.
There will also be hand-made duck decoys, wildlife pictures, antique fish spears made by local blacksmiths, carved wooden fish, and a mounted northern pike.
Evansville Art Center is at 111 Main Street, Evansville. Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment by calling (218) 948-2836 or 948-2729.
