A performance coach whose clients range from Target to the Minnesota Vikings will speak in Alexandria from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 at Alexandria Technical & Community College in Auditorium 205.

For the last four years, Cindra Kamphoff has worked with the Vikings, where she works with the players one-on-one to train their mind for peak performance. She also trains leaders, professional athletes, executives and championship teams around the country.

Her presentation will focus on self-talk and how to master thoughts, emotions and actions to gain resiliency and lead effectively. Her visit is sponsored by West Central Initiative, Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission, and the college's Customized Training Center.

Kamphoff's work has appeared in New York Times, ESPN the Magazine, The Huffington Post and USA Today. She is the founder of the High Performance Mindset podcast, and is a board member of the Minnesota chapter of the National Speakers Association. Kamphoff founded and directs the Center for Sport & Performance Psychology and is a professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
