Brandon will host Christmas Coffee Days this month, with businesses taking turns to offer coffee, cider and goodies during weekdays, and special events set for weekends.

Special events include:

  • Santa Day is from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Brandon City Auditorium, with treats for kids and photographed visits with Santa. That day, the FLY group at Chippewa Lutheran Church will sell baked goods, kids can decorate their own Christmas cookie, and a Santa Store will be open for kids to buy 25-cent gifts for special people.
  • The lighted Christmas parade is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. The route will start at Lions Park and head south on Nelson. Floats will park on Holmes between the liquor store and city office and in the alley by the auditorium for people to view, and there will be social hour and refreshments in the auditorium.
  • Judging for the Brandon Community Club Christmas Lighting Contest will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, with winners announced at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 at Lakes Area Insurance. Winners of adult Brandon Bucks will also be announced.
