Boat show to hit the water at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria

Annual event is set for Friday-Saturday, July 9-10

The Legacy of the Lake Diamond Classic Boat Show will showcase vintage or classic boat on land and in Lake Darling this weekend, Friday-Saturday, July 9-10.

At 1 p.m. Friday, the Chain of Lakes Cruise-Meet will leave from Arrowwood and travel around Lake Darling, lasting approximately two hours. At 6:30 p.m., musician Kelley Hunt will perform in the Legacy of the Lakes Museum and Gardens.

From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, the boat displays will be on land and in water, along with different vendors and classic cars. A 2:30 p.m. presentation will give out the President’s Award, Skipper’s Award, and the People’s Choice Award.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, the boats will take a final run past Arrowwood Resort.

Boat show activities include free Stella rides, a pop-up museum and tent talks, with additional displays at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum, which focus on Chris Craft, Clinker-Built Boats, pontoons and 100 years of Resorters.
