Grieving the death of a family member can be hard and painful, especially now with COVID-19 bringing new challenges.
Here’s a way to find support: Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is sponsoring morning and evening grief seminars, “Growing Through Our Grief.”
This fall, the seminars will be held online.
The seminars will start Monday evenings at 6 p.m., from Sept. 14 to Oct. 19 and Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. from Sept. 15 to Oct. 20.
Jeri Dawson, aftercare coordinator at Anderson Funeral Home, will lead the seminars online. The seminars are intended to meet the needs of anyone working through the grief process resulting from the death of a loved one and to provide support to get through the steps of grieving, Dawson said.

There is no charge and everyone is welcome to participate.
Each session will include information and education on some of the primary stressors associated with the death of a loved one. The sessions will last approximately one and one-half hours and will include a break. There will be a time for questions.
To register or ask questions, call Jeri Dawson at 320-491-5409. The log-in process is simple and Dawson will walk through the steps prior to the start of a seminar.
