Is it a classic car cruise, a mystery tour or a local history lesson?
It's all three, according to the Douglas County Car Care Program, which is hosting the Magical Mystery History Tour from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 starting in Glenwood.
Drivers of all kinds of cars, including classic cars, are invited to join the tour, which will leave from Barsness Park in Glenwood and travel 66 miles around Pope and Douglas counties, giving motorists a chance to enjoy the fall colors. There will be five stops, each of which will offer fun, food and surprises.
The tour returns to the park where the Welcome Center of Glenwood will host a Show and Shine from 1-3 p.m. The event features food trucks and prizes.
Those who enjoy classic cars but don't go on the tour are welcome to attend the Show and Shine.
