West Central Minnesota Communities Action, Inc. is seeking organizations interested in a seat on the agency’s Board of Directors. The available seat serves as a representative for the private sector of Pope County.
The WCMCA board meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month in the early evening. Public officials, low-income representatives and private sector board members each make up a third of the 15-member board. For the private sector opening, WCMCA will give preference to board candidates that have legal or financial expertise, and the candidate must serve the Pope County population.
WCMCA is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to reducing the effects of poverty and helping people to achieve self-sufficiency and improving the quality of rural life. Organizations interested in the private sector seat should contact WCMCA by October 20.
