Second half agriculture taxes due Nov. 15

Second half property taxes for agricultural land and mobile home properties are due on or before Nov. 15.

Second half property taxes for agricultural land and mobile home properties are due on or before Nov. 15. Douglas County Auditor/Treasurer Vicki Doehling wants to remind those who prefer to pay their mobile home or agriculture property taxes in person that her office has changed locations.

“We always enjoy seeing people in person and we have a great new location just a few blocks away from the courthouse,” said Doehling in a press release. “Head over to the new administration building which is located at 821 Cedar St. There is a nice big parking lot on Cedar Street and easy access from that lot. We are on the lower level of the administration building and open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.”

There are also other options:

  • Two drop boxes are located at the Administration Building. One is in the parking lot for drive through, the other is on the west side of the building at 821 Cedar St.
  • Mail payment through U.S. Postal Service or overnight delivery service. It is acceptable to use the preprinted envelope that was sent earlier this year. County officials will ensure the envelopes sent to the old address are delivered to the new location.

To avoid late penalty, tax payments must be received or postmarked on or before Nov. 15, 2021.
“Please tell your friends and family about our new location,” said Doehling. “We appreciate everyone sharing the word that the auditor/treasurer’s office, the license bureau, and the commissioners meeting room are now located in the administration building.”
