STAR Energy Services names new CEO

Lois Croonquist was recently named the new chief executive officer of STAR Energy Services.

Croonquist started working at STAR in 2006 as a finance and benefits manager. She was named interim CEO in January before officially accepting the new role in April.

An Alexandria-based business, STAR Energy Services is a solutions-based organization that provides a variety of electric utility services in a five-state area. Some of these services include electrical engineering, software development and integration, IT management, electrical testing and field inspections.

West central businesses offered wage, benefit survey

The west central Minnesota chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission (AAEDC) are providing a solution for those wondering if their businesses are competitive in the wages and benefits they offer employees or looking for local data on wages and benefits offered by other employers in the area.

The 2021 West Central Minnesota Wage and Benefit Survey is an opportunity for businesses to receive information on wages and benefits of companies and organizations in the west central area of the state.

Businesses of any industry or size can participate in the survey, which will be open June 1-30. Final survey results will then be compiled by the AAEDC. These results will be based upon data compilations to keep individual company information confidential. There is no cost to participate in the survey, but final data will only be provided to participating employers.
