ASB raises $3,000 for Fishing for Vets

American Solutions for Business of Glenwood raised $3,000 through its virtual fundraiser for the Fishing for Vets program.

This virtual fundraiser was held through their proprietary eCommerce platform, called ACES, April 19-21, and results were announced live. Those participating in the fundraiser went online and traded dollars for votes for either director of technology, Nate Disrud, to shave his beard, or vice president of technology, Mike Pfeiffer, to shave his head.

The purpose of the fundraiser was to raise money for charity, Fishing for Vets, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide veterans, both active and retired, with an opportunity to fish some of the mid-west’s premier fishing destinations. This was the favorite charity of late ASB employee, George Nerby.

The live results were revealed at Lakeside restaurant in Glenwood where the votes revealed that Pfeiffer had won.

ASB hosts Accelerate event

American Solutions for Business in Glenwood recently hosted its first-ever Accelerate event in Minneapolis on May 10-12. This format included 27 supplier partners hosting suite-style meetings with a targeted group of 60 qualifying ASB sales associates. This allowed for personalized conversations surrounding product, trends and how to best service end-user customers.

“Early feedback indicates a positive experience for all involved,” said Dana Zezzo, ASB’s vice president of marketing, vendor relations and events. “After relying heavily on virtual resources the last couple years, it’s so exciting to see valuable in-person engagement between ASB salespeople and our supplier partners.”

Attendees were invited to an exclusive facility tour at personal-care product supplier, Mixie (HPG) and tasting experience at the hotel featuring Maple Ridge Farms.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
