?Roger Thomas, senior manufacturing engineer for Alexandria Extrusion Company, was recently elected to his first two-year term as firm director of the Aluminum Anodizers Council in Wauconda, Illinois.

  • Roger Thomas, senior manufacturing engineer for Alexandria Extrusion Company, was recently elected to his first two-year term as firm director of the Aluminum Anodizers Council in Wauconda, Illinois.

This international trade association for companies involved in aluminum anodizing uses promotion, advocacy and education to support its members and users.
Thomas graduated from Alexandria Technical and Community College with a degree in tool and die and joined Alexandria Extrusion in 1982 as a machinist. He became part of the engineering department in 1992.

He was actively involved in the design and start-up of a new state-of-the-art anodizing facility in Alexandria in 2006.

  • Alexandria Rotarian Craig Mische of Sotheby's International Realty was honored by Rotary International as a new Paul Harris Fellow.

Paul Harris Fellowships are awarded to individuals who have contributed $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
Among the Foundation's core efforts are eradicating polio, funding projects to alleviate hunger and improve human development, and supporting educational, service and humanitarian endeavors worldwide.

Rotary International, founded in 1905, is the world's original professional service organization. It currently has 1.2 million members in more than 32,000 clubs worldwide.

  • Tastefully Simple support services associate Nathan Olson was recently honored as a Helpdesk Institute of America (Minnesota Chapter) Helpdesk Analyst of the Year nominee.

At Tastefully Simple, Olson helps provide technical support to more than 330 employees on a daily basis. He was nominated for this special honor based on his commitment to providing excellent customer service, resolving challenges and building his technical knowledge base and skills.
"Nathan is a terrific asset to our service desk, our technology team and our entire headquarters team at Tastefully Simple," said Pete Bellavance, Tastefully Simple's chief information officer.

Olson was nominated with helpdesk analysts from well-known companies such as Delta, Target and Merrill.
