ALEXANDRIA — For 35 years, Hilltop Lumber has been proud to serve the central Minnesota area. The company started in Glenwood in 1988 and has since expanded to include more than 85 team members and three locations: Glenwood, Alexandria and Ottertail.
Now Hilltop Lumber announced that it has acquired a fourth location in Park Rapids with the purchase of Northland Lumber.
"At Hilltop Lumber, our objective is to develop a relationship with every contractor and homeowner where we are viewed as a partner in their project," the company said in a news release issued Jan. 4. "We strive to provide high quality products with excellent customer service. Northland Lumber has built a reputation for taking excellent care of their customers and community, which is extremely important to us. We are excited to serve customers and contractors in the Park Rapids area and look forward to building relationships within the community."
In 2018, Hilltop Lumber received the prestigious Business and Industrial Appreciation Day (BIAD) award that has been given to a Douglas County company every year since 1984 based on growth, capital investment and community contributions.
