Jody Hanson, longtime publisher for the Echo Press newspaper, has been promoted within Forum Communications Company to director of business development for FCC newspaper markets.
Forum President COO Bill Marcil, Jr. made the announcement. "Passion is what Jody has and is," said Marcil. "She has a passion for this business, her people, her job and her community. With our print dailies turning into printed weeklies, no one knows weeklies better at FCC or even the country than Jody. "
Hanson's focus will be on revenue growth and she is working closely with representatives across the FCC network.
Hanson has been at the Echo Press since 1984. She began as a sales consultant, was promoted to sales manager and in 1998 was named publisher. In 2015, Hanson was named publisher of FCC Lakes Group including the operations in Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, Park Rapids, Perham and Wadena. She will retain those duties.
Diann Drew, longtime controller for Alexandria and FCC Lakes Group, was recently named Echo Press publisher as announced last week.
