E. Arthur Brown Company announces promotions

The E. Arthur Brown Company, Inc. (EABCO) of Garfield recently announced two promotions.

EABCO manufactures and ships rifle barrels and firearms accessories to customers all over the United States.

Candi Schweigert was promoted to shipping manager.

"Candi's attention to detail and dedication to getting things done have served our company well," said Eben Brown, president. "I feel very fortunate to have such a great person handling this critical part of our business."

Ahndree Brown was named to a newly created position of "product information and system administrator."

"Keeping our website and other sales channels constantly updated and synchronized with detailed, accurate, and up to date product information is a huge job", said Eben Brown. "It's a combination of product knowledge and technical savvy."

In her new position, Ahndree Brown will be coordinating the information and equipment needed to accomplish those goals.

Cook hired as senior personal lending offer at Gate City Bank

Jan Cook has been hired as senior personal lending officer at Gate City Bank in Alexandria.

A native and current resident of Alexandria, Cook brings 26 years of experience to Gate City Bank.

Outside of work, she has volunteered with Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. In her free time, Cook enjoys being on the water, but her all-time favorite activity is spending time with her children and grandchildren.
