ALEXANDRIA — Carlos Creek Winery, of Bold North Cellars, was recently awarded the Best of Show in the Sparkling Wine category for its 2022 Aurora sparkling wine at Minnesota Monthly’s Food & Wine Experience.

The 28th annual event was held March 3-5 in Minneapolis and showcased more than 150 experiences, including tastings of many unique wine varieties from local and regional vendors.

“We’re honored to receive this award from Minnesota Monthly and be recognized among our fellow Minnesota wine producers,” said Michelle Bredeson, co-owner of Carlos Creek Winery. “This event is always a fantastic way to connect with those who already love our wine and introduce new people to our variety of wines. We thoroughly enjoy the experience and are grateful for the support of our small business.”

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
