• Coldwell Banker Crown Realtors has announced that Brandon Johnson has been named a partner in the firm and will be exercising more day-to-day management responsibility while continuing to do residential and commercial sales. Kevin Mahoney, who has been the managing broker for the past 33 years, will continue as co-owner, with a greater personal focus on real estate sales. Johnson, who joined the company in 2013, is an Alexandria native and is married with three children. He was named 2017 Realtor of the Year by the Greater Alexandria Area Association of Realtors, served as the group's president in 2018, and has held several positions with the Minnesota Association of Realtors. He is a graduate of the University of Northwestern St. Paul and is also active with Habitat for Humanity, his church and other non-profits.
• Heather Ahrens has been hired as the new chief executive officer of The Greater Alexandria Area Association of Realtors, to run the 185-member local real estate association. She grew up in Alberta, Minn., and lives in Alexandria with her two children and husband. Her primary work experience has been in the banking industry. "We are all very excited to welcome Heather as our new CEO of our realtor association and look forward to working with her," said Shawn Reilly, the GAAAR's current president.
