• Craig Mische of Alexandria Brokers Realty recently earned the national Graduate Realtor Institute designation. Mische has been a Realtor since 2002. He is a licensed real estate broker, which is the highest level of real estate licensure in Minnesota. He is also a certified residential specialist and resort and second-home property specialist. The institute is designed to educate real estate professionals about local, state and national real estate practices that affect them and their clients.

• The Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recognized four local businesses on Dec. 12: Crooked Willow, a wedding and event venue at 11181 County Rd. 82 SE, Osakis; the recently expanded Ron's Warehouse at 1408 Third Ave. E. in Alexandria, which sells liquidated stock; Hagstrom Engineering, PLLC at 219 Sixth Ave. E. in Alexandria, which offers a range of residential, commercial and industrial services; and The Douglas County Car Care Program, a faith-based nonprofit corporation that provides cars and repairs to residents with transportation needs.
