Alexandria Senior Center to host 'Wake Up' event Nov. 5

Wake Up Alexandria is a Chamber networking event that is open to everyone.

The Alexandria Senior Center at 414 Hawthorne St. will host the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Wake Up Alexandria event on Friday, Nov. 5 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

Wake Up Alexandria is a Chamber networking event that is open to everyone. It offers an opportunity for attendees to learn about the many businesses and organizations within the community.

A $1 admission is requested, with all proceeds donated to the day’s nonprofit recipient, the Douglas County Historical Society. All Chamber members will also be placed in a drawing for the Pot of Gold, which is currently valued at more than $6,000.

The Alexandria Senior Center is a nonprofit 501(c)3 that has been serving seniors in Douglas County since 1984. It is directed by a nine-member board of directors and has 838 active members. The center offers programs and services to enhance the actively aging population of the Alexandria Lakes Area. For more information, visit www.alexsrctr.org.
