Aagard in Alexandria announced expansion plans to keep up with customer demand.
Since 2016 Aagard 's workforce has more than doubled in size to more than 270 team members and is continuing to offer job opportunities throughout its organization.
Now, it plans to open a new fabrication center, "a step-change essential to meet the global need for our customized packaging solutions," according to the company.
Located within the former Kmart building along Highway 29, the fabrication center will offer four times the current space for fabrication, expanded capabilities, new technologies and growth opportunities for team members' careers.
With the center opening in January, construction is beginning, and Aagard is looking to hire more team members, including a new fabrication center manager, a manufacturing engineer focused on continuous improvement, and a variety of fabrication positions from machinists, machine operators, welders and more.
